The Big Picture
Traditionally our ministry has had a team of staff based on a some major state university. Our piece of the pie is West Chester University. There are 7 million college students in the United States are on campuses having no full-time Campus Crusade staff and so, we want to change that. We launch movements. Movements of students and faculty winning, building, and sending.Win, Build, and Send
It is our strategy of Win, Build, Send that is perhaps most defining of who we are as a ministry. We seek to reach every student on every campus - to Win as many as possible to Christ. We seek to Build up believers in their faith and help them experience genuine life-change in Christ. And we seek to Send every Christ-follower out from our ministry equipped to have an impact for Christ in the world.
What we do, is look for the “catalyst” on a specific campus – a key student, a church partnership, a professor – who can help launch and lead a movement OR we become one of those catalysts. Usually, it’s both/and. We use a variety of strategies. There are Ethnic Student Ministries:
Destino Movement (Hispanic students)
Epic Movement (Asian-American students)
Impact Movement (African-American students)
Nations Movement (First nations people)
There are Contextualized Ministries:
Greek Movement (Students in fraternities and sororities)
Athletes in Action
Bridges International (International students studying in the United States)
Valor Movement (Cadets and Midshipman)
Faculty Commons (Professors and Faculty)
Student Venture (College students reaching high school students)
Korean Campus Crusade (Reaching Koreans in the United States)
The Worldwide Student Network(WSN)
There are over 110 million college students around the world.
Campus Crusade for Christ International The campus ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ is part of a family of 60 ministries under Campus Crusade for Christ International based in Orlando , Florida . Dr. Bill Bright founded the ministry in 1951 at UCLA. Campus Crusade for Christ now has 26,000 full time staff and 550,000 trained volunteers worldwide serving on campuses and in community based ministries in 191 countries.
Our purpose is to help launch and build movements of spiritual multiplication on college campuses so that everyone will know someone who truly follows Jesus Christ.
Imagine the changes the world would see if every one of the 110 million college students had an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel every year. Our goal is to see as many students go from a place of unbelief to a place of belief in God. We want to see students embrace the purpose, love and forgiveness that God offers them in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
By 2010, we are working to…
Increase evangelistic exposures to 25 million worldwide annually, trusting God for 350,000 evangelistic decisions annually.
Equip 200,000 involved students each year to share their faith and disciple others on campus, in the community and around the world.
Plant 3,770 new ministries where lost students are turned into Christ-centered laborers.
