CS Lewis On Apologetics

The
difficulties of the Christian writer or lecturer
arise from the fact that the culture is not at
all Christian. This means the influence of a
Christian lecturer or article will be undermined
very quickly by the influence of films,
newspaper, and novels in which an opposing point
of view is taken for granted. This makes it
impossible for the Christian writer to achieve
widespread success. What is wanted is not more
“little books about Christianity,” but more books
by Christians on other subjects in which
Christianity is latent.
